Trexped Moraa: determination, perseverance, and a passion born between the goalposts – Sport for Change

Trexped Moraa is 12 years old and lives in a small village in Kenya. She is a reserved but determined girl who has found in football not just a sport, but a space where she can feel free, seen, and valued. Trexped truly shines between the goalposts: wearing goalkeeper gloves makes her feel like her most authentic self.

Thanks to her consistent commitment and the seriousness with which she approaches every training session, this year she stood out in interschool tournaments, making it all the way to the national finals of her county, where she was awarded as the best player.
Even though her team didn’t win the tournament, Trexped achieved something even greater: recognition of her talent, her dedication, and the strength that carries her through each day.

Trexped is part of the Sport for Change program, which has given her the opportunity to train with qualified coaches alongside other girls her age. Football has taught her much more than just technique: today, Trexped is more confident, more focused at school, and more engaged in the life of her community. Her determination, love for the sport, and desire to keep improving every day make her a positive role model for all the boys and girls in her village.
